Ermita de San José El Viejo
Its construction was due to the lack of a place to venerate the image of San José, created by La Antigua Guatemalan sculptor Alonso de Paz. Initially built like a modest chapel, but was closed because it does not have the license of the king. Years later, granting the permission, continued the construction of the temple that is now seen, which was completed in 1761. Two years later there was held the feast of San José, adding El Viejo, to distinguish it from the parish of San José, located in the lobby of what was once the Cathedral of Santiago.
